What are the early symptoms of colorectal polyps?
发布时间:2021-10-27   浏览:1286次

Most polyps have hidden onset and can be asymptomatic clinically. Some large polyps can cause intestinal symptoms, mainly changes in stool habits, increased frequency, mucus or mucus bloody stool in the stool, occasional abdominal pain, and a very few tumors come out of the anus. Some patients have long-term bloody stool or anemia. Patients with family history often have a suggestive role in the diagnosis of polyps.
Some typical extraintestinal symptoms often suggest the possibility of polyposis. Some patients often see a doctor due to extraintestinal symptoms, which must not be ignored. For example, Gardner syndrome should be considered in the presence of multiple osteomas and soft tissue tumors, and P-J syndrome should be considered in the presence of skin mucosal pigment spots. Some authors point out that for patients with suspected polyposis, even if there is no family history of polyposis, colonoscopy should be performed routinely to rule out the possibility of syndrome.
Because colorectal polyps are often asymptomatic clinically, even if some gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal distension, diarrhea and constipation are mild and atypical, they are often ignored. Generally, most patients come to see a doctor with bloody stool, bloody stool and bloody mucus stool, and are often misdiagnosed as anal diseases such as hemorrhoids or "dysentery" and delay their necessary examination. Therefore, the diagnosis of colorectal polyps should first improve doctors' understanding of the disease. For those with unexplained bloody stool or gastrointestinal symptoms, especially middle-aged and elderly men over the age of 40, they should pay attention to further examination and diagnosis. In this way, the discovery rate and diagnosis rate of colorectal polyps are expected to be greatly improved.
